Alnoor University holds a cultural celebration on the occasion of Arabic Language Day Ḍād Day

On the occasion of Arabic Language Day (Yawm al-Ḍād), Alnoor University, through the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Education, held a cultural celebration on Wednesday, 17/12/2025. The event was supervised by Lecturer Ali Latif Hammoudi, a faculty member of the department. The celebration opened with a speech by Professor Dr. Khazal Fathi Zaidan, Dean of the College of Education. This was followed by a poetry reading by Dr. Haider Mahmoud Abdulrazzaq, Head of the Department of Arabic Language, who recited one of his poems. He was followed by the poet Zaid Saleh, Assistant Lecturer in the department, who delivered a poem accompanied by oud music performed by one of the department’s students. In terms of correct usage and proper pronunciation of vocabulary, a segment titled “Say, Don’t Say” was presented. Afterwards, one of the female students delivered a speech with a literary tone. The final segment was dedicated to the signing of a new book by the critic Dr. Jassim Khalaf Elias, published by Alnoor University, At the conclusion of the event, shields were presented to four of the university’s distinguished creatives, and certificates were awarded to the supervising committee.
